Over the years there've been musicians that have crossed my path, and I've thought they were amazingly talented. But they either flamed out, never caught on, got arrested, or all of the above. When you do a web search in the "where are they now" vein, the narrative always includes language like "after developing a cult following...the band fizzled and died."
